Milwaukee-based Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) owns and manages some of the largest construction equipment trade shows in North America.
Renee Peters has been with the firm for 14 years and currently serves as chief financial officer and vice president of finance.
Peters is responsible for the fiscal management of $25 million to $55 million in revenue. She is the staff liaison to the Finance Committee responsible for providing oversight of the organization’s financial resources by reporting accurate and reliable information to the AEM board of directors. She also monitors, manages and protects the assets of the organization by providing an adequate system of financial controls.
With headquarters in Milwaukee and offices in Washington D.C. and Beijing, the association celebrated 125 years of advancing equipment manufacturers in the global marketplace in 2019.
As a member of the leadership team, Peters has personally overseen numerous AEM financial endeavors, including: the Milwaukee office remodel, shifted the organization to the revised revenue recognition regulations, launching a new strategic plan, guiding AEM’s shift related to member priorities and COVID-19.
“She has managed the organization’s finances and investments in a superior manner to ensure we are on solid footing, and leads the organization in ensuring we pass rigorous yearly audits,” said Judy Gaus, vice president of human resources for Association of Equipment Manufacturers. “She has assembled a team of professionals who oversee accounting, investments and contract management and is personally mentoring one for future leadership opportunities.”
