Liza Romans, a real estate associate at Milwaukee-based Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co., specializes in analyzing, underwriting and presenting potential debt and equity investments as part of the Central Region Production team.
She has been in the industry for almost a decade and also serves on the organization’s Managed Investments Diversity and Inclusion Council and co-chairs the council’s mentorship program.
“Liza is an extremely hard-working finance professional,” says Vedran Rimarcuk, an industry colleague of Roman’s and assistant vice president and commercial underwriter at First Midwest Bank. “She is very involved in the community with numerous nonprofit groups and she has been a great mentor to the younger professionals that are entering the workforce.”
Liza is an active member in NAIOP-WI currently serving on the Board of Directors Executive Committee as treasurer and also chairs the Marketing and Public Relations Committee.
In 2016, she received the NAIOP Corporate Developing Leaders of the Year Award for her work in developing and implementing the chapter’s Developing Leaders All-Star program. The program was created to educate, develop and recognize the local commercial real estate industry’s young professionals.
She is also a member of TEMPO Milwaukee’s Emerging Women Leaders, an organization created to advance the next generation of professional women. In the community, she serves in a leadership role for The Salvation Army of Greater Milwaukee-Echelon, the emerging professionals’ arm of The Salvation Army focusing on the fight against homelessness.
