Doug Nysse, a Milwaukee-based hospitality industry advisor, has joined Colliers International | Wisconsin as director of project and development services, the firm announced this week. At Colliers, Nysse will be responsible for overseeing and executing both individual projects and the continued growth of the service line, according to a news release. The addition of Nysse will strengthen the firm's ability to provide project and development services to clients locally, nationally and internationally. Prior to joining Colliers, Nysse founded Milwaukee-based Arrival Partners, which provided development, planning and advisory services for mixed-use project. Nysse said he is transitioning his existing clients at Arrival Partners. His first day at Colliers was Monday. "There are additional offerings I can provide clients beyond the development services they know me for to also include project management services," Nysse said. He will also be branching out to other asset classes, including corporate, multi-family and industrial. Nysse brings to Colliers more than 25 years of experience and an expertise in mixed-use and hospitality development. Local projects he has worked on include the Westin Milwaukee, Kimpton Journeyman and Brookfield Conference Center. Nysse was also previously vice president of development at White Lodging. He also worked for Milwaukee-based Kahler Slater for 17 years, where he led the architecture firm's hospitality group. “Doug is exceptionally talented and brings great energy to everything he does. Given his strong planning background, Doug brings a unique blend of creativity and pragmatism required for project and development work,” Lyle Landowski, chief operating officer of Colliers International | Wisconsin, said in a statement. “He has overseen some very significant projects in recent years and we are excited to deploy his talent and experience for our clients.”
