What has fueled your company’s growth?
“We pride ourselves on doing what is right for our customers, even if it costs us money. Our reputation is very important. We work very hard to find and fix problems for our customers, and they love that. Most importantly, we have a great group of people. Everyone really cares about what we do here and we refuse to be ordinary. Our people are our greatest asset.”
What is the biggest obstacle to your company’s growth?  
“We want to get better at training and communicating the company expectations. We developed software (Crescendo) that communicates both the company and the individual expectations to every employee daily. We believe that if everyone knows where we are going, we can get there faster, so we are very clear about our destination. Everyone we talk to about our process is fascinated by it, but to us, it’s the only way to do business. Continued training and improving our processes as we get larger will continue to be a strong focus.”
Do you plan to make any changes to your company?
“We are actively marketing our company on many fronts this year. We will be rolling out two new software products we have developed. We are also working on an office remodel that will give us room for expansion in the fall. Our people are really the reason we are successful.”
Who are the business people you admire?
“We admire people who are innovative and willing to take a risk to be successful—people who have started from nothing and don’t take no for an answer. Starting and running a business is very rewarding and stressful, but it is the best job ever. We appreciate companies that have been loyal to southeast Wisconsin and the state to help build our economy. “
What is the outlook for the business conditions of your industry?
“We are very excited about the future. We will continue to see growth for the balance of the year, and we feel like we are aligned to take our company to the next level and beyond.”
What is your company’s most important growth strategy?
“The ZMac business is going really well. ZRate and Crescendo will be game changers for us in 2016. When people see these products, we will have a hard time keeping up with the demand.”
