ZBB appoints directors

Theodore “Ted” Stern has been elected to the board of directors at Menomonee Falls-based ZBB Energy Corp.

Stern, a significant shareholder, has prior experience as an executive in the energy and software industries. He currently serves as chairman of the board at InContact, a software and service company in Salt Lake City.

Previously, Stern was a senior executive vice president and board member at Westinghouse Electric Corp. There, he oversaw the power generation, energy systems and government and environmental affairs segments, which totaled $3 billion in annual revenue and included 50,000 employees. He has also served as vice chairman of the board at Superconductivity Inc. in Madison and as a board member at Copperweld Corp. in Pittsburgh.

Richard Payne has resigned today from the ZBB board of directors, but will now serve on the board of ZBB’s Australian subsidiary, ZBB Energy Pty, Ltd.

“I’d like to thank Richard for his many years of hard work and keen insight provided to ZBB’s board of directors,” said Paul Koeppe, chairman. “While he’ll be missed at our parent board of director meetings, I’m very pleased that he has decided to serve on our subsidiary’s board of directors in Australia.”
