Wolter Group plans to combine Servicemax with its existing member company, Elk Grove Village, Ill.-based Illinois Material Handling.

Servicemax has 30 employees, including former owner Steve Sponza, who will continue to operate out of the Bolingbrook facility, which will be rebranded to IMH. IMH now has 66 employees at four facilities in Illinois.

The Wolter Group is made up of four companies: Illinois Material Handling, Wisconsin Lift Truck Corp., Wolter Power Systems and Fleet Services. Its companies offer parts, rentals, service, training and new and used sales of lift trucks, aerials, industrial engines and generators, automated material handling solutions, as well as fleet management services. It has 350 employees in Wisconsin, Illinois and upper Michigan. Its support staff is located in Brookfield.

Wolter Group in October acquired Machesney Park, Ill.-based Fleet Lift Truck Service and folded that company and its 11 employees into IMH as well. Fleet Lift Truck’s facility will likely be closed next year and its staff integrated into IMH’s Rockford facility.

“By acquiring Servicemax Inc., we’re blending two very experienced companies, each with over 50 years of material handling experience, to provide customers the best material handling solutions in the industry,” said Otto J. Wolter, CEO of Wolter Group LLC.
