The first Wisconsin Tech Summit will be held April 7 in Waukesha, where 54 emerging companies will be introduced to 16 major companies via “speed dating” meetings.
The Wisconsin Technology Council organized the event in partnership with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. and other organizations.
The Summit aims to introduce national and global corporations to emerging technology talent, spurring research and development partnerships, direct investments, strategic partnerships and acquisition.
Among the major companies that will participate: AT&T, American Family Insurance, Aurora Health Care, BloodCenter of Wisconsin, Direct Supply, Faith Technologies, GE Healthcare, HP Enterprise Services, IBM, Intel, Johnson Controls Inc., Kraft, Plexus, Rockwell Automation, Runzheimer International and TASC.
Speakers at the event will include: David Krakauer of the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, MaryAnn Wright of Johnson Controls and Mike Lovell, new Marquette University president.
