Associated Bank expands into Indianapolis

Green Bay-based Associated Banc-Corp has opened its first loan production office in Indianapolis.

The parent company of Associated Bank tapped industry leaders and Indianapolis locals Dan Hatfield and Shawn Bullock to oversee the bank’s first loan production office in Indianapolis.

Hatfield, who is Associated Bank’s commercial real estate manager, and Bullock, who is the bank’s commercial real estate senior relationship manager, will utilize their local market expertise and relationships to capitalize on Indianapolis’ improving commercial real estate landscape.

Hatfield will manage Associated Bank’s presence in the Indianapolis market, reporting directly to Breck Hanson, the Bank’s executive vice president and head of commercial real estate. Hatfield formerly served as regional executive vice president of the commercial real estate group at M&I Bank.

Bullock is the Indianapolis office’s commercial real estate senior relationship manager. He previously served as senior vice president and team leader at M&I Bank.

“We continue to expand our geographic footprint and add experienced bankers to our commercial real estate team,” Hanson said. “Opening an Indianapolis office is a major step toward our goal of establishing Associated Bank’s commercial real estate presence in markets with strong middle market lending opportunities. The combined leadership and local market familiarity Dan and Shawn bring will help establish Associated Bank as the real estate lender of choice for middle market businesses in Indianapolis.”

The bank’s entry into Indianapolis is an expansion of its footprint, which currently includes Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis and St. Louis.
