Waterstone CFO to resign at end of month

Mark Gerke named interim replacement

Waterstone Financial, Inc. chief financial officer Allan Hosack will resign at the end of the month, the company announced today.

Hosack agreed to continue in his role with the Wauwatosa-based company through Feb. 29 to help in the completion of the company’s year-end financial audit.

“We appreciate the contributions Allan has made in his two years with the company as well as his commitment to a smooth transition of his responsibilities,” said Douglas Gordon, Waterstone Financial president and chief executive officer.

The company named Mark Gerke as interim chief financial officer. Gerke has served as controller and principal accounting officer for Waterstone since 2014 and as controller of the bank since 2005.

Waterstone, the savings and loan holding company for WaterStone Bank, has branches in Wauwatosa, Brookfield, Fox Point, Franklin/Hales Corners, Germantown/Menomonee Falls, Greenfield, Oak Creek Oconomowoc, Pewaukee, Waukesha/Brookfield and West Allis, plus a commercial lending office in Minneapolis.

He previously was managing editor at The Waukesha Freeman. He is a graduate of Carroll University and did graduate coursework at Marquette. A native of southeastern Wisconsin, he is also a nationally certified gymnastics judge and enjoys golf on the weekends.
