Jalem Getz, president and chief executive officer of Milwaukee-based Wantable Inc., credits the company’s more than 100 employees and its commitment to customer service for its growth.

Wantable is an online fitness and fashion retailer that serves the individual tastes, needs and wants of each consumer.

According to Getz, it’s the “personal touch” that’s the foundation of the Wantable experience.

Wantable finds products customers love and then gives them the freedom to try them on at home, before they purchase them.

Wantable recently opened a new 70,000-square-foot distribution center near General Mitchell International Airport.

In December, the company launched its “Stream” feature, along with a redesign of its web platform. Stream uses a proprietary algorithm to suggest new products to its customers based off their search history, purchases and preferences.

“As we continue to grow, every couple of years we decide to rebuild the systems and this was a major overhaul,” Getz said.

What is the biggest obstacle to your company’s growth?

“Managing the logistics of a complex human- and machine-driven enterprise. We are much more than a technology company; we are a shipping company, a service company and a marketing company rolled into one.”
