The building at 15650 W. Greenfield Ave. in Brookfield that houses a Walgreens store has been sold for $5.95 million, according to state records.
The single-tenant retail building totals approximately 13,900 square feet. It is assessed at $2.9 million, according to county records. Walgreens has been at the location for more than 20 years and recently extended its lease for an additional eight years, according to a news release.
According to state records, an affiliate of
The Redmond Co., of Waukesha, sold the building to Bloomington, Illinois-based Bell Family LLC.
The seller was represented by Mark Lovering and BJ Feller of Tulsa, Oklahoma-based
Stan Johnson Co. in its Chicago office.
“We were pleased to identify a repeat exchange buyer for our seller,” Lovering said in a statement. “Our pre-existing relationship with the investor allowed for a smooth close, despite some COVID-19-related travel limitations. Ultimately, they were excited to add a well-located Walgreens to their portfolio.”
The building is located in a high-traffic corridor along with other national retailers such as Starbucks, Panera Bread and Walmart.
