Wendy Strong, a former reporter for The Business Journal Serving Greater Milwaukee who did television reports on WITI-TV Fox 6, will join the staff of Visit Milwaukee as director of public relations.
Strong will start her new job on Monday, Oct. 14.
Prior to working with The Business Journal, Strong’s early career included time as a freelance producer with the NBA and as a television producer with the Journal Broadcast Group. She was born and raised in Milwaukee and graduated from Marquette University.
“Wendy is passionate about our community, and she’s excited to help us tell the Milwaukee story locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. We are pleased to welcome her to our team,” said Paul Upchurch, president and chief executive officer of Visit Milwaukee.
