The University of Wisconsin-Parkside today announced the appoint of four key executives to its leadership.
The Kenosha university has appointed Melvin Klinkner as vice chancellor for finance and administration. Klinkner previously served as vice president for financial planning and administration at Missouri Western State University, St. Joseph, Mo. In his new position, Klinkner provides leadership to the Division of Finance and Administration, which includes Business Services, Human Resources, Police and Public Safety, and Facilities Management. He also serves as CFO of the university, with budgetary responsibilities including oversight of a $100 million operating budget. He will begin his duties Aug. 20 and will report directly to Chancellor Debbie Ford.
UW-Parkside also appointed Emmanuel Otu as dean of the newly established College of Natural and Health Sciences. Otu previously served as dean of the School of Natural Sciences at Indiana University Southeast, New Albany, Ind.
The university appointed Ilya Yakovlev as chief information officer. Yakovlev previously served as co-chief information officer and director of the Center for Information Studies at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn. In his new position, Yakovlev serves as head of the Campus Technology Services Department and is responsible for the operation and administration of the department.
UW-Parkside also has appointed DeAnn Possehl as associate vice chancellor for Enrollment Management. Possehl, who previously served the university as interim executive director of Enrollment Management, provides creative and visionary leadership in developing and implementing the university’s strategic enrollment initiatives.
