The United Performing Arts Fund will announce its 2010 community-wide fundraising campaign on Wednesday, March 31 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Bayshore Town Center Rotunda, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive.
The Funds raised will support UPAF’s 34 member and affiliate performing arts groups.
Last year, UPAF raised $9.1 million from 22,500 donors. Rich Meeusen, president and chief executive officer of Badger Meter Inc., and Julia Taylor, president of the Greater Milwaukee Committee co-chaired the campaign.
The 2010 UPAF Campaign co-chairs are Linda Mellowes, who also is the board chair of the Medical College of Wisconsin, and Ted Kellner, chairman and CEO,founder and portfolio manager for Fiduciary Management Inc.
The campaign was led by co-chairs Richard Meeusen, president and chief executive officer of Badger Meter Inc., and Julia Taylor, president of the Greater Milwaukee Committee.
The celebration will include performances from the Bel Canto Boys Choir, Florentine Opera Company, Milwaukee Public Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, MYSO’s Calypso band and a surprise act.
