The founder of Milwaukee-based Digital Measures LLC has purchased a condominium in the University Club Tower in downtown Milwaukee for a little more than $2 million, according to state records.
Matt Bartel, founder and chief executive officer of the Milwaukee-based software company, purchased the condo from Lake East LLC. The seller’s listed address is 2055 Lombard St., San Francisco.
The 36-story University Club Tower, located 825 N. Prospect Ave., was developed by Mandel Group and completed in 2007.
The condo purchased by Bartel is 3,964 square feet with two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, according to city records. It has an assessed value of about $1.86 million.
Last summer, Digital Measures was acquired by New York-based technology company Watermark. Upon announcing the acquisition, Watermark said the deal would provide a “more comprehensive set of solutions that better support and provide members of the higher ed community.”
Digital Measures provides data management software that helps higher education faculty more efficiently document their teaching, research, and service activities and track progress for annual performance and tenure review processes. The company has worked with some of the country’s largest universities, including Harvard, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, the University of Wisconsin System and Marquette.
