Twin Disc adds Johnson Outdoors CFO to board

Racine-based Twin Disc Inc. announced Tuesday it has added David W. Johnson to its board of directors, effective July 29.

Johnson has served as vice president and chief financial officer of Johnson Outdoors Inc., another Racine company, since 2005. He has been with Johnson Outdoors since 2001.

“David’s financial and business knowledge will be a tremendous asset to Twin Disc’s board of directors,” said David B. Rayburn, Twin Disc chairman. “David brings a significant amount of experience working in the personal marine and watercraft industry and managing global financial activities.”

Johnson has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from DePauw University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Chicago.

His appointment gives Twin Disc‘s board eight directors, seven of whom are external and independent.

Arthur covers banking and finance and the economy at BizTimes while also leading special projects as an associate editor. He also spent five years covering manufacturing at BizTimes. He previously was managing editor at The Waukesha Freeman. He is a graduate of Carroll University and did graduate coursework at Marquette. A native of southeastern Wisconsin, he is also a nationally certified gymnastics judge and enjoys golf on the weekends.
