Wauwatosa-based Tosa Yoga LLC., has teamed up with Hunger Task Force to Celebrate Yoga Day USA "Feed the Hungry. Feed you Soul." on Saturday, Jan. 23.
To help spread the health and wellness benefits of yoga, Tosa Yoga, will hold free classes on Saturday, Jan. 23 from 1 to 7 p.m. in exchange for donations of food or money to Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee.
"At Tosa Yoga, we believe in providing an open, warm and welcoming environment for the practice of yoga through a balanced routine taught with compassion, dedication and a little laughter,” Melanie Landgraf, owner said. “We’re proud to help community residents feed their souls by exposing them to yoga, while also giving back to the community through our food drive initiative."
As part of Yoga Day USA, the national celebration of yoga. Hundreds of Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT) and schools (RYS) throughout the U.S. will host free or low-cost workshops on Yoga Day USA designed to meet the unique needs of their local communities.
The class offerings include Beginning/Restorative Yoga, Yogilates and Power Yoga. Classes will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis and space is limited, so participants are encouraged to arrive early.
