TLX Technologies opens China production plant

Pewaukee-based TLX Technologies LLC announced today that it opened a wholly owned subsidiary in China in July. The facility manufactures and services automotive and industrial markets in China and the surrounding region.

Located in the Changshu Economic and Technology Development Zone in Changshu, China, it is TLX’s first international production plant. It currently employs a couple of workers, but director of business development Susa Siy said more employees are expected to be hired as the plant gets more production work.

TLX designs and develops custom electromagnetic actuators and valves. For nearly two decades, TLX has worked with Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive suppliers to design and supply solutions for major truck and car OEMs in North America and Europe.

“We are excited about our new location in China. It gives us the ability to service the largest automotive market currently as well as a growing industrial market,” said TLX president Neil Karolek. “This facility expands our ability to service customers globally while continuing to add more jobs here in Wisconsin.”

TLX has approximately 50 employees in Pewaukee.
