A total of 12 new limited partners have joined TitletownTech Venture Fund, bringing the fund total to $25 million, TitletownTech announced Thursday at a celebration in Green Bay.
Joining the initiative are AmeriLux International, Baird, Cornerstone Foundation of Northeastern Wisconsin, Dickman Ventures, Green Bay Packaging, N.E.W. Venture Foundry, Plexus, Schreiber, Schneider, Sartori Cheese, The Village Companies and Weyers Investments, according to a press release.
“We’re very excited to have these excellent Wisconsin-based institutions join us in the TitletownTech Venture Fund,” said Green Bay Packers president and chief executive officer Mark Murphy. “Greater Green Bay businesses and institutions have a rich tradition of supporting the local community.”
TitletownTech, which opened in late June, is a joint project of the Green Bay Packers and Microsoft Corp.
The Green Bay innovation hub, located in the 45-acre Titletown District just west of Lambeau Field, includes an innovation lab to vet new ideas, a venture studio to build startups from scratch, the $25 million venture fund and “eatertainment” venue Topgolf Suites.
The new limited partners join the Green Bay Packers and Microsoft as well as the previously announced limited partners, Delaware North, the New York Mets and Sterling Project Development, according to a press release.
“The Fox River Valley is steeped in a history of innovation and entrepreneurialism – a spirit you see alive today at TitletownTech,” said Microsoft president Brad Smith. “This unique and exciting partnership is helping new and existing businesses accelerate a wave of Wisconsin-born innovation, providing a new model of economic development for other parts of the country.”
