Chad Tisonik has been named president of HNI Risk Services in Wisconsin.
Tisonik’s new role as president is a milestone for the firm, marking the first time HNI Wisconsin will be managed by a non-family member of the founder since the company’s inception in 1963.
Tisonik replaces Mike Natalizio as president effective today, allowing Natalizio to focus on growing the business as chief executive officer. HNI had a record-breaking year in 2012, posting 35 percent in growth and acquiring a Minneapolis-based firm.
“I’m thrilled to pass the president torch to Chad. He has a wealth of expertise inciting change with our clients and helping them take on their wicked business problems,” Natalizio said. “I’m looking forward to seeing more of this in action internally as he leads our Wisconsin location.”
Prior to this role, Tisonik led the Advisory Practice at HNI. With 26 years of experience in risk management, he has helped shape strategy at hundreds of companies. His expertise includes leadership coaching, risk reduction workshops, compliance reviews, and culture improvement, among other advisory services aimed at reducing a company’s total cost of risk.
“I’m honored to be leading such a talented group of people,” Tisonik said. “Our culture and brand are really what set us apart at HNI, and I couldn’t be happier to have the opportunity to help shape that.”
Along with its New Berlin and Minneapolis locations, HNI also has offices in Grand Rapids, Mich., and Inverness, Ill.
HNI is a non-traditional risk management firm offering insurance, benefits and business advisory services to its clients across a broad range of industries.
