Tillmar named employee benefit agent of the year

The Independent Insurance Agents of Wisconsin have awarded Arvid ‘Dick’ Tillmar, president of Tillmar Connect its 2012 Employee Benefit Agent of the Year.

Tillmar was recognized for career excellence and for his support of the organization.
“Through his role on the Employee Benefits Committee, Dick helped the IIAW partner with the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans to help meet the needs of member agents,” said Michael Hierl, president of IIAW.  “We refer to him as a networking expert. Dick has a 45-year history of service as an insurance executive and a long record of community involvement and leadership.  He is helping our association expand its focus and create an annual conference specifically designed for employee benefit agents.”
Tillmar Connect was launched in January 2010. In his 45-year insurance industry career, Tillmar engendered solid contacts with key decision makers in the business, civic and community sectors. According to Tillmar, the agency’s mission is to build trust, advertise honestly, tell the truth, remain transparent and honor promises, in the manner promoted by the Better Business Bureau.
