More than 76,000 riders utilized The Hop in November, the first month of operations for the new downtown Milwaukee streetcar, according to city officials.
The Hop provided 76,125 rides during the month, according to the city.
There were 16,409 rides provided during the opening weekend for The Hop service, Nov. 2-4.
Excluding the opening weekend, average daily ridership for The Hop from Nov. 5-30 was 2,297, the city said.
The $128 million streetcar project was paid for with $69 million in federal funds and $59 million from city tax increment financing (TIF) districts.
Before the streetcar began service, city officials estimated the initial route would provide 1,850 rides per day.
The rides on The Hop are free during the first year of service, as a result of a $10 million, 12-year sponsorship by Potawatomi Hotel & Casino.
