Milwaukee-based Taylor Dynamometer announced Tuesday it has acquired Dyne Systems Inc. of Jackson.
Taylor manufactures dynamometers and turnkey test cell solutions for engine testing. Dyne makes eddy current, AC and DC dynamometers, controls and drives. Taylor said the acquisition would give the company a stronger foothold in the engine, vehicle and industrial component testing industry.

Dyne has 25 to 30 employees at its 18,400-square-foot facility at W209-N17391 Industrial Drive in Jackson. Taylor has 50 employees at its facility in Milwaukee’s Menomonee Valley.
Taylor plans to keep the Dyne staff and continue operations at both facilities.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
