Surfacide LLC, a manufacturer of UV-C robot technology, has moved its operations to a new facility at W226 N918 Northmound Drive in the City of Pewaukee.
The company is occupying a 75,000-square-foot space, three times the space it previously occupied near the Waukesha County Airport/Crites Field.
Surfacide makes robotic towers that emit UV-C light to disinfect rooms. The units have been deployed in hospitals, nursing homes, restaurants, hotels, gyms, commercial office spaces, tourist attractions and stadiums.
The company says it has seen more than 500% growth in its business in the past year as the COVID-19 pandemic has driven increased interest in its products.
"During the pandemic, we are fortunate to have grown our team and provide a proven UV-C technology that has tremendously impacted health care facilities, nursing homes, dental offices, and more in fighting the COVID-19 virus,” said Gunner Lyslo, founder and chief executive officer of Surfacide. “This year the importance of infection prevention has been paramount, and we expect to see that course continue in years to come. For as long as our communities need safety and protection, Surfacide will continue to evolve and be there to assist those who need it most.”
Surfacide says the larger space will house the company’s manufacturing and distribution arm, a training center, simulation room and offices while also offering more room for the company’s expanding team.
