Milwaukee-based Super Steel LLC plans to hire 50 employees in the first quarter, the company announced today.
Super Steel attributed the growth to securing large contracts from both new and existing customers. It plans to hire welders, electrical and mechanical assemblers, painters, brake press operators, engineers and quality assurance technicians.

The contract manufacturing company offers prototyping, manufacturing, production fabricating, coating and assembly services, mostly to the construction, industrial, transportation, defense and agricultural industries. It currently has about 400 employees, and reported about $60 million in revenue last year.
Super Steel was recently named the BizTimes Family-Owned Business of the Year. The company plans to achieve $100 million in sales and grow to 700 employees by 2017.
