Stephan Hoffmann, director of transportation at R.A. Smith National,Brookfield, is serving as the 2016 president for the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Wisconsin Section.
Hoffmann is excited to be leading the ITE Wisconsin Section, of which he has been a long-time member and also an executive board member. The ITE Wisconsin Section is part of ITE International, which provides resources and programs to transportation professionals in order to increase advancement and knowledge of the profession. The Wisconsin Section has about 300 members.
Hoffmann joined R.A. Smith National in 2006 and was named director of the transportation division in 2014. He has more than 22 years of project management and design experience, including rural and urban roadway reconstruction and rehabilitation, drainage analysis, utility coordination, public involvement and environmental documentation. Hoffmann is a licensed professional engineer in Wisconsin.
