St. Marcus Lutheran School is seeking donated holiday items from the public for its “Christmas Store.”
The “Christmas Store” has become a holiday tradition for the school. Each holiday season, students can pick a gift from the in-school store to give to their families. The students, many of whom live in low-income homes, select gifts from items donated the previous year. Gifts include ornaments, snow globes, stockings and other holiday-themed items.
St. Marcus Lutheran School collects gifts purchased on discount between Christmas and New Year’s by parents, volunteers and community members. The school will also accept gifts of money to go toward stocking the store.
In addition to holiday-themed gifts, the school appreciates small donations like candles, jewelry, mugs, lotions, coffee, cocoa and tea.
Interested donors can drop off their items at the front desk of St. Marcus, located at 2215 N. Palmer St. in Milwaukee. Contact Cindy Kucera with questions at 414-267-8391 or cindy.kucera@stmarcus.org.
