Sprecher Brewing Co. is expanding its offerings of radler beers with three new flavors to be released later this month.
The Glendale-based brewery will release orange, mango and peach Radlers after debuting a grapefruit version in December. The radlers, a wheat beer belended with individual fruit flavors, will each have 4.5 percent alcohol by volume.
Jeff Hamilton, Sprecher president, noted that radlers, shandys and other fruit beers have been quite popular, particularly in warm weather.
“Today’s drinker is looking for variety,” Hamilton said. “We wanted to offer an array of flavors based on the popularity of our Grapefruit Radler. With that goal in mind, our talented brewmaster created a cornucopia of radlers. We experimented with over a dozen fruits before finding the best taste profiles in peach, mango, and orange.”
In effort to secure more retail placements, the brewery is switching over to 12-ounce bottles after years of using 16-ounce bottles. The three new flavors will be available in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles. A 12-bottle RadPack variety pack will also be available featuring all four flavors.
The new varieties are expected to be in stores by the end of April or early May. The company is planning a release party for the new flavors from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. April 29 at the Sprecher Brewery, 701 W. Glendale Ave.
