Jackson-based Design 2 Construct plans to build an approximately 70,400-square-foot speculative industrial and office building in the village's Northwest Business Park. The building is proposed for a vacant 5-acre site at N172 W21843 Northwest Passage. The project site is south of where Northwest Passage meets Delaney Court, east of County Highway P. Although the building for now has no tenants on board, Design 2 Construct expects future users to be similar in type to others currently in the industrial park, according to village documents. The proposed facility would be built with a combination of decorative precast concrete wall panels with multiple accent paint finishes, prefinished metal canopy elements, aluminum storefront glazing systems and entrances. It will also include 35 surface parking spaces. The development will be considered on Thursday by the village Plan Commission.
