Speakers set for 2019 Economic Trends event

To be held Jan. 25 at Italian Community Center

The speaker lineup is set for the 2019 Economic Trends event, BizTimes Media’s 18th annual forum on what lies ahead for the new year.

The event will be held from 7:30-9:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, at the Italian Community Center, 631 E. Chicago St. in Milwaukee.

Speakers will include:

  • Michael Knetter, president and chief executive officer of the University of Wisconsin Foundation, who will return to provide his annual Economic Trends macro economic outlook, including predictions for the new year and a look back at how his predictions for 2018 held up. Knetter is a former economic advisor for the President George H.W. Bush and President Bill Clinton administrations.
  • Dwight Diercks, senior vice president of software engineering for Santa Clara, California-based NVIDIA, an artificial intelligence leader and best known for its GPUs that have pushed advancements in video gaming graphics. Diercks and his wife, Dian, donated $34 million to the Milwaukee School of Engineering for MSOE’s new computational science hall.
  • Michael Stull, senior vice president of Milwaukee-based Manpower, North America.
  • Terry Tuttle, president of Milwaukee-based HellermanTyton North American.
