A Chicago-based restaurant franchisee has purchased a parcel in Menomonee Falls where it plans to build a new Burger King restaurant.
Cave Enterprises purchased the parcel at N83 W15474 Appleton Ave. for $1.3 million, according to state records. The land is assessed at roughly $1.4 million, according to Waukesha County property records.
Earlier this year, village officials approved the company’s proposal to construct a roughly 3,100-square-foot Burger King at the site. According to building plans, the restaurant would go up near the center of the parcel and face Appleton Avenue. A double-stacked drive-thru would be at the back of the building.
The site of the proposed Burger King is near where Appleton Avenue meets Pilgrim Road. The east-west running Menomonee Avenue also crosses both roadways immediately to the north, creating a series of three intersections. Other food establishments nearby include McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Pepino’s Italian restaurant, Su Casa Grande Mexican restaurant and Odyssey Family Restaurant.
A representative of Cave Enterprises could not be reached for comment. The company operates more than 120 restaurants, including around 60 in Wisconsin.
The 2.9-acre lot was purchased from CVS, which operates a store and pharmacy next door at N83 W15550 Appleton Ave. Both parcels were once used by Griffin Auto Dealership, until CVS bought the land and divided it into two pieces, according to village documents. The second parcel has remained vacant since.
