The Wisconsin Sign Association Inc. has given Milwaukee-based Sign Effectz Inc. a first place award for the neon sign it designed, built and installed for Divino’s Restaurant in Milwaukee.
The 2013 Sign Design Contest recognizes design excellence in several types of signs.
Divino’s, previously Palermo Villa, has a wine bottle and two glasses on its retro neon sign. It is made of fabricated aluminum with exposed neon, highlighting the picture. The name is spelled in backlit LED channel letters.
“It was a pleasure working with the owners of Divino’s Restaurant on their new signage. The end result is new building signage with a unique look and the latest lighting technology. We’re very excited to have received first place recognition,” said
Don Nummerdor, designer at Sign Effectz.
