Canadian businessman and investor Robert Herjavec of ABC’s hit show “Shark Tank” will present at the U.S. Cellular Business Tech Tour 2019, to be held in Milwaukee later this month, which will focus on the Internet of Things, 5G and innovations in business technology.

Earlier this year, Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers signed a bill intended to help speed the introduction of 5G to the state. U.S. Cellular recently announced that customers in Wisconsin and Iowa will be the first to have access to its 5G network.

This year’s tech tour will give attendees a chance to experience interactive IoT demonstrations from several of U.S. Cellular’s IoT vendors and engage with experts that are building 5G networks globally and creating IoT ecosystems.

Herjavec will then hold a fireside chat and audience Q&A discussing the impact technology can have on enhancing operations for Wisconsin businesses, according to a press release. The event takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Discovery World, 500 N. Harbor Drive, Milwaukee.

“This event gives the Milwaukee business community the opportunity to learn from industry leaders like Herjavec about what IoT, 5G and recent innovation in business technology can bring to their day-to-day operations,” said Andy Schlingman, director of sales for U.S. Cellular’s Business Channel in Wisconsin.

Herjavec is the founder and CEO of Herjavec Group, a global cybersecurity organization ranked number one on the Cybersecurity 500 List in 2019. The company is known today as a global cybersecurity operations leader specializing in managed security services, compliance and incident response for enterprise level organizations.

Herjavec is also a best-selling author and shares his expertise with millions each week as a leading shark on Shark Tank.
