Sensient caps record year

Milwaukee-based Sensient Technologies Inc. reported fourth quarter net earnings of $28.6 million, or 57 cents per share, up from $25.8 million, or 52 cents per share, in the same period a year ago.
The company’s quarterly revenues grew to $340.4 million from $339.3 million a year earlier.
The company reported record revenue, operating income and earnings per share for the full fiscal year.
"The company performed exceptionally well in 2011," said Kenneth Manning, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Sensient. "We achieved record revenue and earnings for the second consecutive year, made substantial investments in our operations, reduced debt and increased the dividend to shareholders. We continue to see opportunities for growth and I am optimistic about the company’s future."
