Sarah Schott has been promoted to executive officer, vice president and chief compliance officer at Northwestern Mutual. She will lead the compliance/best practices department.
She joined Northwestern Mutual’s legal department in July 2007 and most recently served as director-specialty life underwriting in the new business department and secretary to the company’s management and strategy execution committees.
“Compliance and best practices is an extremely important function at Northwestern Mutual, and Sarah’s skills and experience make her eminently qualified to lead this area,” said John Schlifske, Northwestern Mutual chairman, president and chief executive officer.
Schott previously worked at B.C. Ziegler and Company as senior managing director-general counsel. She is a Lawrence University and Duke University Law School graduate.
