BizTimes Bubbler gives you a glimpse into this year’s BizTech expo event. The conference continues today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at State Fair Park.
The BizTech Conference and Expo, presented by BizTimes Media, began Wednesday morning as more than 500 people attended the CEO Strategies Breakfast. The keynote speaker for the breakfast was Marilyn Carlson Nelson, chairman and former chief executive officer of Minneapolis-based Carlson, one of the largest privately held companies in the United States. She has been described by Forbes magazine as one of "The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women." The BizTech Expo, held at the Wisconsin Exposition Center at State Fair Park in West Allis, includes several free seminars on a variety of business operation topics, as well as local exhibitors from a wide array of industries. Last year, more than 4,500 people attended the 2008 BizTech Conference & Expo. The BizTech IQ (Innovation Quotient) Awards luncheon was also held Wednesday. The luncheon honored Metro Milwaukee area companies who have developed innovative products or services within thier industry. More than 450 people pre-registered for the IQ event.

The BizTech Conference and Expo continues today with the Manufacturing Summit Breakfast, and the Bravo! Entrepreneur Awards luncheon. The show floor will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Krueger and Meaney will also be hosting the Comet Branding Twitter Lounge, to assist people with setting up and understanding Twitter accounts from 10 a.m. to 12 noon today at the BizTimes Milwaukee booth.
