Scalerator program ushers in 14 new companies

After successfully piloting its Scalerator program last fall, Scale Up Milwaukee has announced 14 new business ventures it will coach through its second class of the entrepreneurial training program.

Scale Up Milwaukee is a multi-stakeholder effort that helps entrepreneurs at all stages grow their businesses while also fostering a strong regional entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The initiative’s Scalerator program debuted last fall and worked with 12 area companies from a variety of industries to accelerate their growth.

The program’s inaugural class accelerated growth by close to 25 percent, according to Scale Up Milwaukee.

The second pool of companies, selected from an application process, are: Brilliance Business Solutions; Church Metal Spinning Company; ClaimSource, Inc.; ClearPath Connections, LLC; Cory Graphics; Cultivate Communications; DP Electronic Recycling, Inc.; Heartland Products Group, LLC; Ictect, Inc.; Raphael Industries, Inc.; Red Flag Cargo Security Systems; Right Choice Janitorial Supply, LLC; Scathain LLC; and The Sleep Wellness Institute.

Beginning on Oct. 24, each company will undergo training in topics like sales and marketing, entrepreneurial finance, organizational structure and human resources. The training, to be completed over six months, will be guided by Daniel Isenberg, professor of Entrepreneurship Practice at Babson Executive Education and architect and facilitator of Scale Up Milwaukee efforts. Trainings will also be facilitated by other Babson College professors.

Additional program support is provided by regional investors, banks, universities, and public sector stakeholders.
