The company, which is the third-largest commercial insurer in Wisconsin, has added six new agents and a team of local claim adjusters and loss control experts who will be located at a new office at 2222 N. Mayfair Road in Wauwatosa. Ken Bosman will serve as Milwaukee district manager.

Rural Mutual has 175 employees in more than 100 locations across the state and has done business in the Milwaukee market, but this is its first office in the area. The company offers farm and agricultural, home/condo/renters, personal auto, health, life, workers’ compensation, specialty small business, business overhead expense, and safety and loss prevention coverage.

The new Wauwatosa agents are: Heather Behling; Angela Burton; Steve Marcinkowski; Chris Whitlock; Richard Miles; and Andrew Hart.

“Our statewide knowledge and focus will make us a great resource to Milwaukee-area businesses and customers,” Bosman said. “We are looking forward to serving the Milwaukee community.

“I’m surprised that we didn’t make this move earlier, but over the years we’ve been increasing commercial insurance market share in the state. We had a light bulb moment and it just became apparent that we needed to be in Milwaukee just because of the per capita amount of businesses.”
