Waukesha-based civil engineering firm Ruekert & Mielke Inc. moved into Milwaukee’s Global Water Center on Sept. 1, making it its fourth branch location.
It is scheduled to hold a ribbon cutting and open house on Oct. 7 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Located on the fifth floor of the Global Water Center, the firm’s space is 408 square feet, according to Meghan Jensen, director of marketing and membership for The Water Council.
Ruekert & Mielke senior marketing coordinator Robyn Ludtke said about 10 to 12 employees will rotate working in the new location. The firm also has branch locations in Kenosha, Madison and Itasca, Ill. Its headquarters is at W233 N2080 Ridgeview Parkway in Waukesha. In total, it has 85 employees.
According to Ludtke, Ruekert & Mielke recently joined The Water Council.
“It’s a great opportunity to brand ourselves with The Water Council,” she said of the move to the Global Water Center. “We’re excited about Milwaukee moving in the water hub, and we want to be a part of that and offer our services as well. It’s just such a great community. We’re long-time supporters of Milwaukee, and we’re very passionate about Milwaukee continuing to grow. Expanding from Waukesha is a good fit for us.”
The Global Water Center is located at 247 W. Freshwater Way.
