The Wisconsin Arborist Association has chosen Ann Phillips, a Ronald McDonald House volunteer and master gardener, as the 2010 recipient of the International Society of Arboriculture Gold Leaf Award. Phillips and a group of master gardeners have taken on the task of maintaining the Ronald McDonald House “Secret Garden,” a walled private garden that provides a wonderful respite for families and children.
“The “Secret Garden” is a great source of comfort and solitude for our families,” said Lynda Kohler, president of RMHC of Eastern Wisconsin.
An award presentation will be held at the Ronald McDonald House, 8948 W.Watertown Plank Road, Wauwatosa, on Monday, April 12, at 9:30 a.m.
