Previously, he was a portfolio and fund manager for Milwaukee-based 1492 Capital Management LLC, where he worked from 2008 until 2021. Before that he worked as a vice president and fund manager for Heartland Advisors, and as an equity securities analyst for Banc One Investment Advisors and Robert W. Baird & Co. Hathaway received a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1994 and an MBA from The Ohio State University in 1997.
