Milwaukee-based Rockwell Automation Inc. announced Joseph Sousa will be the company’s new Asia-Pacific president.
Sousa will be responsible for Rockwell’s growth and performance strategy, along with its commercial and selling organization in China, India, Korea, Japan, the south Pacific and southeast Asia. The region accounted for about 13 percent of Rockwell’s $6.3 billion in sales in fiscal 2015.
He previously served as president for Latin America and joined the company in 1988.
“Joe builds high-performance teams and develops leaders. Both skills will be critical to achieving our business objectives in Asia-Pacific,” said John McDermott, Rockwell senior vice president, global sales and marketing. “His long and successful career makes him ideal for this important leadership role.”
Sousa replaced Tom O’Reilly, who will repatriate to the United States and become vice president for global business development.
