Robertson Ryan acquires Veitenhaus Insurance

Milwaukee insurance firms consolidate

Milwaukee-based Robertson Ryan & Associates has acquired Milwaukee-based Veitenhaus Insurance Services, the firms announced today.

Veitenhaus, which has three employees, specializes in personal, commercial and special insurance. Its owners, president Lisa Piontek and vice president Patti Blaschka, will join Robertson Ryan as producers. The third employee will also join Robertson Ryan in an administrative role. They will all be based at its downtown corporate headquarters, and the Veitenhaus office at 4260 S. Howell Ave. will be closed.

Piontek has more than 30 years of insurance experience and will continue to serve clients in personal insurance lines. Blaschka has more than 20 years of insurance experience, and will continue working with her commercial clients. She previously worked as an underwriter at Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.

Robertson Ryan, which has more than 210 employees serving 25,000 clients from 14 branches nationwide,  is the largest independent agency in Wisconsin. The company has also hired Allan Degner to the new position of marketing director. He has nine years of experience in insurance restoration at Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling. He will be responsible for marketing operations, branding, advertising and public relations.
