Roadrunner Transportation names new president and COO

Stoelting will also serve on board of directors

Roadrunner Transportation System, Inc. has hired Curtis Stoelting as president and chief operating officer, the company announced Monday.  He will also serve on the company’s board of directors.COV-Best in Business-122214-Roadrunner trucks

 

Cudahy-based Roadrunner is a provider of asset-light transportation and logistics. Chief executive officer Mark DiBlasi said Stoelting brings financial, operational and business experience and will assume management and oversight of all three of the company’s operating segments.

“Curt is a high energy individual with significant analytical capabilities, strategic vision and a proven record of overcoming adversity in a very competitive and ever changing industry,” DiBlasi said.

Stoelting previously served as chief executive officer and a director of TOMY International/RC2 Corporation from 2003 to March 2013. RC2 was acquired by TOMY in April 2011. Stoelting served in several other roles with RC2 and was also previously with Arthur Anderson for 12 years.

RC2 grew from $20 million in revenue to $430 under Stoelting’s leadership. He was involved in the planning and integration of 10 acquisitions, coordinated RC2’s initial public offering and oversaw the acquisition by TOMY Company.

Arthur covers banking and finance and the economy at BizTimes while also leading special projects as an associate editor. He also spent five years covering manufacturing at BizTimes. He previously was managing editor at The Waukesha Freeman. He is a graduate of Carroll University and did graduate coursework at Marquette. A native of southeastern Wisconsin, he is also a nationally certified gymnastics judge and enjoys golf on the weekends.
