The River Club of Mequon country club and golf course is under new ownership. According to state records, the 253-acre property at 12400 N. Ville Du Parc Drive was acquired by an investment group affiliated with Virginia-based Heritage Golf Group for $2.64 million. The seller is TLW Investments LLC, which is registered to former golf club owner Tom Weickardt. The club's website also notes the change in ownership. Club management referred questions to the new owners. Representatives to Heritage Golf Group did not immediately provide a comment on the acquisition. Located in Herndon, Virginia, Heritage Golf Group is a boutique owner and operator of private, resort and daily-fee golf properties across the U.S. According to its website, the group owns properties in South Carolina, Florida and Virginia. Weickardt acquired the property, then known as Mequon Country Club, in 2011 for $1.5 million. He then completely renovated the 44,000-square-foot clubhouse and built an addition onto it.
