Rebuilding Together Greater Milwaukee has posted a video of its massive, two-day repair project on 30 homes in Milwaukee’s Lindsay Heights neighborhood that took place in May.
Three nonprofits — Walnut Way Conservation Corp., the Social Development Commission and Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin — partnered with RTGM to put on the event, which drew around 600 volunteers.
The event, called Block Build MKE 2016, cost $150,000 and was an extension of Rebuilding Together Greater Milwaukee’s year-round home repair program.
Here’s the video:
Volunteers represented dozens of local businesses and organizations and completed extensive repair and beautification work to homes on North 17th and north 18th streets between West north Avenue and West Lloyd Street from May 20 through May 22.
