The Fifth Ward Development Association Inc. recently announced its 2007 officers and board of directors members. The non-profit corporation’s officers are: president Randall Nass of Next Development Group, vice president Ursula Twombly of Continuum Architects + Planners, treasurer Lynn Stewart (a Fifth Ward resident), secretary Deanne Wecker of Barossa Wine Bar and immediate past president John Jacobs (a Fifth Ward resident). The members of the board of directors are: Kendall Breunig of Sunset Investors, Dick Chudnow of Comedy Sportz, Robert Feind of National WarehouseHouseman-Feind Law Office, John Hein of Godfrey Braun & Frazier, Dave London of The Philly Way, Patrick Nedobeck of Diamond Ink Gallery, John Stewart (a Fifth Ward resident) and Dieter Wegner of Altec Roofing. The mission of the Fifth Ward Development Association is to revitalize the former historic warehouse district into a vibrant urban neighborhood. Its goals also include historic preservation.

Brookfield-based MLG Communities recently received the Best Subdivision Entrance award for the Bark River Crossing (in Merton) entrance at the Metropolitan Builders Association’s Annual Sales & Marketing Achievement Awards Dinner. MLG Communities also won the Best Subdivision Entrance award in 2006 for Carriage Hills in Delafield.
