Weiss Berzowski LLP, has announced that Randy S. Nelson was recently appointed to the Business Planning Committee of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) for 2016-2017.
The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel is a nonprofit association of lawyers and law professors skilled and experienced in the preparation of wills and trusts; estate planning; and probate procedure and administration of trusts and estates of decedents, minors and incompetents. Its more than 2,700 members are called “Fellows” and practice throughout the United States, Canada and other foreign countries. Established in Los Angeles in 1949, ACTEC is governed by 39 Fellows who serve on its Board of Regents, six of whom are the officers of ACTEC. The most important business of ACTEC is performed by its committees and State Chairs.
Mr. Nelson’s practice includes estate planning, family business planning, advising service corporations and partnerships, tax planning, trust administration and probate. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and an adjunct professor at Marquette University Law School, where he has been teaching estate planning for over twenty years.
