Quest Products acquires Seattle manufacturer of dry mouth treatment

OraHealth Corp. joins consumer product portfolio

Pleasant Prairie-based Quest Products Inc. has acquired Seattle-based OraHealth Corp. Inc., the companies announced today. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Quest, located at 8201 104th St., Suite 200, in Pleasant Prairie, is owned by Chicago-based private equity firm Promus Equity Partners. It was established in 2001, and makes and distributes consumer packaged goods including Clinere ear cleaners, Alocane burn and scar treatment, ProVent natural skin oils, AlcoHawk breathalyzers, CopperFixx pain relief cream and Blue Guard blue light supplements. Quest distributes more than 7,000 products to major big box retailers in North America.

OraHealth makes OraCoat oral care products, including Xylimelts for Dry Mouth, oral melts which prevent dry mouth overnight, and XyliGel for dry mouth and tooth decay.

“We are proud to add OraCoat and its line of oral care products to our portfolio of category-leading brands including Clinere, Alocane and ProVent,” said Don Ryan, chief executive officer of Quest. “We are excited to partner with OraHealth founder Jeff Haley and his team to expand the distribution of the blockbuster Xylimelt product domestically and internationally.”

“Together, we will endeavor to increase consumer awareness of this revolutionary treatment for dry mouth and introduce innovative new products using our patent protected technology,” said Jeff Haley, founder and president of OraHealth.

Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren provided legal advice to Quest in the transaction.
