Quadracci’s daughter fills board seat

Kathryn Quadracci Flores has been elected to the board of directors at Sussex-based Quad/Graphics Inc. She has filled the seat her mother, Betty Ewens Quadracci, held until her death on December 9.

Flores, a medical doctor, has also been named one of four trustees for the Quad/Graphics Voting Trust, which holds the company’s majority voting control. The other trustees are her sister Elizabeth Quadracci Harned, brother and chairman, president and chief executive officer Joel Quadracci and David Blais, executive vice president of sales and client services.

The other Quad/Graphics board members are: Joel Quadracci; William Abraham Jr., partner, Foley & Lardner LLP; Douglas Buth, retired chairman, CEO and president, Appleton Papers Inc.; Christopher Harned, managing director, investment banking group, M&A team, Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc.; Thomas Ryder, retired chairman and CEO of Reader’s Digest Association Inc.; and John Shiely, chairman emeritus and former chairman, president and CEO, Briggs & Stratton Corp.

Flores is currently the CEO of Blooming Minds Ventures LLC, which she co-founded in 2010. The company distributes tools for early childhood at-home education.

She also sits on the board of directors for Windhover Foundation, a Quadracci family philanthropy effort, and the board of trustees for the Collegiate School of New York, a boys’ college preparatory school, and Marymount School of New York, a girls’ college preparatory school.

Previously, Flores served on the board of directors for Brown University Sports Foundation and the advisory board of QuadMed, a Quad/Graphics healthcare subsidiary.
